GateWay defeated PVCC 5-0 on Saturday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Michael Riley struck out Austin Corbett to finish off the game. The Geckos got things started in the first inning.  Nomar Basurto singled on a 3-2 count, driving in Braedon Stoakes and Treston Shallenberger. In the top of the second Ty Mead drive a deep fly ball into center field for a 2 RBI sac fly. Kaedon Moore never broke stride from second base and with an incdredible slide at the plate was safe.  Cade Nelson pitched GWt o victory. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on five hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.  Isaac Rehfield and Riley entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Kaeden Moore led the Geckos with two hits in three at bats.  The Geckos was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
