Geckos jump out early and don't look back against Colorado State

The Geckos won 22-4 on Thursday against Colorado State Club. GW got things moving in the first inning when Braedon Stoakes drove in Treston Shallenberger who led off the bottom of the 1st with a triple. Stoakes later came in to score on a thorwing error. The Geckos scored runs in every offensive inning.   Treston Shallenberger, Stoakes, Greg Bozinovich, and Eliazar Torres, all driving in runs in the inning in the 2nd. Luke Legumina took the win for GateWay Geckos Baseball 22. Legumina lasted four innings, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out three.  Cade Nelson, Aiden Patterson, and Carson Jacobs all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. B Buher took the loss for Colorado State Club . The hurler allowed ten hits and 11 runs over three innings, striking out six. GateWay hammered two home runs on the day. Stoakes had a four bagger in the second inning. Dylan Fesperman went deep in the sixth inning. The Geckos totaled 22 hits in the game. The offensive onslaught was led by Diego Alvarado, Stoakes, Nathan Greene, Shallenberger, Torres, Bozinovich, Fesperman, and Ty Mead each had multiple hits for GW.  Alvarado went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead all players in hits on the day.
