Bombs Away! GW sets school record for home run in an inning and the game!!!

The Geckos defeated Glendale Community College on Wednesday thanks to eight runs in the fifth inning.  GateWay's big inning was driven by home runs by Treston Shallenberger, Dylan Fesperman, and Greg Bozinovich. Zach Martinez led things off on the mound for GW Geckos. The bulldog surrendered one run on two hits over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Rueben Macias was on the hill for Glendale. The righty lasted three innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero.  Jacob Hapner, Kyle Roop, and Lance Wall each contributed in relief for Glendale Community College. The Geckos smacked four home runs on the day, setting a school record. Shallenberger went for the long ball in the fifth inning. Marcus Lucas smoked a grand slam in the seventh inning. Bozinovich had a homer in the fifth inning. Fesperman had a dinger in the fifth inning. Bozinovich went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead GateWay
