Geckos rally falls short in the 9th.

The Geckos effort to come back from down five runs in the ninth inning came up just short, as they fell 6-4 to Glendale Community College on Tuesday.  GateWay scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by RJ Molina, a double by Daniel Johnson, and a groundout by Treston Shallenberger. GW couldn't keep up with Glendale Community College early in the game. The Geckos scored three runs in the ninth inning.  Molina, Johnson, and Shallenberger each had RBIs in the big inning. Hayden King was on the pitcher's mound for Glendale Community College. The righthander allowed three hits and one run over six innings, striking out six. Logan Martin was on the mound for GW. The righty surrendered three runs on five hits over five innings, striking out three.  Frankie Gulko, Dawson McHughes, and Aiden Patterson each contributed in relief for GateWay. Molina went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead GateWay Geckos Baseball 22 in hits. Glendale racked up nine hits.  Carlos Parra, Colton Kucera, and Matty Kamins all had multiple hits for Glendale Community College.  Parra led Glendale Community College with three hits in five at bats.
