7 Geckos Selected for the ACCAC D2 All-Star Game

Seven Gateway Geckos from the 22-23 team have been selected to participate in the ACCAC D2 Fall All-Star Game. The game will be held at Grand Canyon University on Friday, September 29th. Batting Practice starts at 430pm and the game starts at 630pm. 

 

Jeff Martz is a versatile sophomore athlete hailing from Marcus High School in Texas. He currently showcases his baseball prowess as a key player for Gateway, boasting an impressive .312 batting average 16 doubles, 7 triples, 8 home runs and 47 RBIs in his most recent season.

 
Macs Carrillo, a sophomore hailing from Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona, has found his baseball home at Gateway Community College. Carrillo's impressive .323 batting average and 31 RBIs in 51 games last season. Macs is looking to build on last year's success on the field.
 
Raenan Padilla, a sophomore hailing from Nogales High School in Nogales, Arizona, is making a name for himself at Gateway Community College with his consistent performance. With a .250 batting average and 21 RBIs in 48 games, Padilla demonstrates his determination and competitiveness in the world of baseball.
 
Braden Watkins, a sophomore representing Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona, is leaving his mark at Gateway Community College with his tenacity and dedication to the game. Watkins has showcased his skills with 2 home runs and 29 runs scored in 42 games last year, underscoring his potential for growth in the sport.
 
Andres Gonzalez, a sophomore from Sahuarita High School in Sahuarita, Arizona, has been a valuable asset to Gateway Community College on the baseball field. In 16 appearances, with 12 starts, he's shown an impressive pitching arsenal with 54 strikeouts in 62.0 innings pitched, highlighting his potential.
 
Logan Martin, a sophomore from Sahuaro High School in Tucson, Arizona, has been honing his skills on the mound at Gateway Community College. Despite facing challenges, he's demonstrated his ability to compete with 30 strikeouts in 40.0 innings pitched, showcasing his determination to improve and contribute to his team's success.
 
Brandon Rainer, a rising sophomore from Ripon High School, coming off of a redshirt season last year Brandon has really taken off this fall. With his fastball routinely in the low 90's Brandon is looking to have a breakout season for the Geckos in 24.
