GateWay Community College Student Athlete Checklist

• Apply online to GateWay Community College
  • *If you are from a western region state (WA, OR, CA, AK, NV, ID, MT, WY, ND, SD, UT, CO, NM, and HI) and want REDUCED tuition you need to apply and complete the WUE form. You have to do this during your application or you will not receive it!
  • Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Form
• Apply for FAFSA (Financial Aid)
  • Gateway School Code 008303
• Enrollment Steps
• Take  Ed Ready placement test (if HS GPA is below a 2.6) or use your high school unweighted GPA (if HS GPA is over a 2.6)
  • Upload HS transcripts (can be unofficial), SAT or ACT scores here. SAT and ACT scores can be used for placement as well.

• Submit your ID (driver’s license) for Authentication here. Has to be a COLOR copy/photo
• Sign up for a Gecko Gear Up (if new to college)
• How to add a class (if you don’t need to meet with an advisor)
• Register for classes/Meet with an Advisor – After High School Graduation (coaches will help select classes as well for you)
• Fill out recruiting questionnaire for your sport if you have not done so already.

• Log into https://my.armssoftware.com/arms/login
  • Your username and password will be given to you after you apply to the school and get your school email address and your student ID number
• Complete GateWay Athletic Eligibility Paperwork/Workflows (THIS WILL BE SENT TO YOU IN ARMS)
• Send Official High School and College Transcripts. Please have all transcripts mailed or emailed directly to your coach.
